i just realized that i’ve been shying away from calling people i hang out with ‘men’ and ‘women’

when i said ‘girl’ earlier i’m in fact sitting next to a 23-year-old

a young woman maybe

but surely ‘woman’ is more fitting than ‘girl’?

i just still feel more comfortable with saying ‘boys’ and ‘girls’ instead of ‘men’ and ‘women’ i guess?

well it still feels like the words fit

it’s sometimes hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that i’m in a grown-ups body now which is weird and awesome and terrifying
